Just a little something I'm working on

It's definitely not perfect, but I think it's not bad for my second try with this kind of set-up.
I promise I didn't force him to sit for this. And he's really NOT as sad as it appears. He just chooses not
to smile. This is his "serious" look. I don't have the heart to tell him that his "serious"
comes across as "my dog just died". lol
Woohoo! So many fun things I'm working on!!!
I can't wait until I have more to show y'all! :)
Have a great week everyone......

Random thoughts...........
Yesterday was my birthday. I'm not gonna say how old I am - but I WILL say that I'm older than my brother (some
people don't know that) and I tight-rolled my jeans in high school. I don't so much mind getting
older or the wrinkles or gray hair. It's the speed that time seems to be moving at that freaks me out. Remember
when you were 8 and it seemed like a year took FOREVER?! Now it seems like a year lasts a couple of weeks. Time
is just flying by - and THAT is the scary part!
I really have no idea how this leads up to this next little
tidbit - other than this band got started the year I was born. And they're almost the age of my parents. This,
though, was one of the most fun nights I've had in a while. Can you guess who this is?????

AC/DC! In Nashville. On the last night of what's very possibly their last U.S. tour.
EVER. It was so much fun!!
TIP: I used my little Canon point-and-shoot to take these. I'm
not advocating sneaking in a camera like I did - but it IS helpful to have a friend with you who wears baggy pants.
I'm just sayin'. :) ANYWAY - to take shots like this set your ISO to 800 (or as high as it will go).
That will give you some grain, but will allow the shutter speed to be fast enough that you can get some good, non-shaky shots.
Also, if your camera has an exposure setting, lower it to -1 or so (there will be a ruler-looking thing that says
-2, -1, 0, 1, 2 and will probably have increments of that in between). That will prevent the bright stage lights from
being so bright. Most cameras have these settings. READ YOUR MANUAL!!! Oh and also? Turn off the flash.
In fact, turn off the flash permanently. You'll be glad you did. I promise! :)
There are
only about 3 more weeks until Spring Break, so if you're interested in a
mini-session I still have spots open. The last few weeks before the Holiday mini-sessions were crazy with bookings, so if you want
something specific I'd suggest calling me sooner rather than later.
I've also got another new product
in the works and should be getting my sample soon. This one is completely amazing, and something a little more, let's
say "user-friendly" than just a regular album. I think it's something y'all can definitely have some
fun with.
Anyway, I guess that's it for now!!! I'm watching the Oscars and all the good categories
are coming up so I'm off to watch that.
HAVE A GREAT WEEK EVERYONE!!!

New kid in town.........
New haircut. Sadly, he walked right past me at school and I didn't recognize him.

He liked his hair long, but he says this new 'do has "changed his life". Wow!!! I've
never had a haircut THAT good! :)

Albums!

I finally (!!) completed my first sample album and I'm SO EXCITED to share it with you guys. These 5x5
albums include 20 of your favorite images from a session (or several sessions - it's up to you). And although they're
small, they pack a big punch.

(I was so excited to talk about these that I took these pictures practically in the dark).
They're
completely custom, and we'll work together to get the exact "look" you're going for.

The pages come in either white or black, and there are something like 20 different fabrics to use on the outside.
Oh and did I mention that these are completely handmade right here in the USA?!

Don't know what to give your family for Christmas? Get them one of these albums. Grandma's
would LOVE this! (Which is why I didn't use my guy in this one, because I can't have my mom stealing my
sample!) :)
These are the albums that are part of my
referral program too. Remember that? Refer 5 people and receive either a free session OR one of these albums. In other words,
you can get this for FREE. Crazy, right?!
I'm also going to offer a 10-page album for the mini-sessions,
since there will not be as many final images to choose from. Let me know if you're interested!
Note:
While there are still quite a few spots open for the
Spring Break mini-sessions, I'm running out of late afternoon times. So if you hate getting up early you might want to go ahead and book now.
That's only 4-1/2 weeks away!
