The King of Random
My brother likes to think he's the normal one of the family. That it's ME who is "out there" and strange.
But here's proof that, in reality, he's the King of Random:
Thanksgiving Day - making tamales (actually
this was the day AFTER Thanksgiving because Thanksgiving Day was spent boiling the chicken and shredding it and the pork for
the tamales)

Seriously, these took FOREVER. I'd estimate 6-8 HOURS to make. But they were so good!! I'm
sad that I didn't bring any back with me because the three I got to eat were delicious!
Maybe if the whole
construction thing doesn't work out for him he can be a "Tamale Man".
**These are actually the ONLY
pictures I took of the goings-on at Thanksgiving and only pulled them off my camera tonight. That stack of tamales inspired
me though. Don't they look cool?!

The Loftis Family
Okay seriously? Why didn't they have dolls like this when I was a little kid? I mean, you couldn't pay
me to wear a dress and I'd have cried if you made me wear cute little red shoes. But now? Now I'd LOVE
it. Now I want a doll that looks just like me! And the best part? They have the SAME NAME. And it
was completely unintentional!!! I'm jealous.

Oh and here's the rest of her family:

I'd pretty much kill for those brown boots too. :) Thanks you guys!! It was a wild and crazy
shoot but y'all all hung in there and I think you're going to LOVE all your pictures!!!!
Everyone else:
the deadline to order for Christmas is this weekend!!! Don't forget! :)

The Kurtens
This family was a last-minute addition to my sittings last week and they were definitely troopers. First, there were
about 7000 people running around. I was running late. And it was cold and windy outside. Oh and I also made
them carry furniture for me. I swear I wasn't trying to kill/seriously injure them! :)
Their little
boy was the best smiler of the week though. So cute! And super-sweet too. If I didn't love my little
guy so much I might be tempted to trade him in for this one!!!

How'd I manage to get a solid WEEK of such great-looking people??!!! Somewhere, somehow, I did something
right! :)
Remember - the deadline to order for Christmas is December 6. I know that's crazy-fast
for some of you guys, but any later and I can't guarantee your orders. Remember, not only do I have to get everything
processed and mailed, but my lab has to get everything printed. And they have a TON of super-busy photographers they
are dealing with - it's not just me. So just keep that in mind as you're looking at proofs. You can always
come back after Christmas and order more, but get those Christmas orders in ASAP. :)

The Smiths
I had so much fun with this couple. First of all - can you believe they're
grandparents??!!! And
also, they said they've NEVER had a portrait taken of them as a couple!!! I'm very honored that they chose me
to take their pictures.

How cute are they???!!! Thanks for hanging out with me - I'll let you know when I'm coming back
to town. :)
