The Telliers
Here's another branch of the awesome family I photographed Saturday.  They were craaaaaazy fun (the outtakes were HILARIOUS - I've got a secret plan for them I'm working on).  I kind of wanted to steal this little guy, but I think his mom would have fought me for him.  I DID get to hold him though.

New Logo!
logo2.jpg

I'm so excited about my new logo!  It's all part of my master plan for branding my studio.  And I really have to say "THANKS" to my friend, Shannon, because she's been invaluable at providing feedback about the 7,561 questions I've asked her.

I'd definitely recommend, for anyone who's starting a business, to have someone who can be your mentor.  They don't even have to be in your particular "field" - they just have to be willing to give honest feedback.  Shannon, whether she knows it or not, is that person for me.  So, THANKS SHANNON!!!!!!

Look out for a little bit of change in my website as I update the branding.  YAY!!!

Also, in the next few days I'll be putting up some more Christmas Cards.  These will probably the last ones for this year, but I'll keep the link at the top of the page active through the holidays so they're easy to find.

Another new Christmas card!
Not really sure where all this inspiration is coming from, but I'm enjoying it!

mockup-hohoho.jpg

I like this design because, while it has traditional elements like the red and green colors and the HO HO HO, the splatter texture and tattoo font make it definitely more fun and funky.  This is not your Grandma's Christmas Card!

I'd originally planned on using the blue one with the snowflakes for my family card this year - but I may have to re-think that!

Also, as you may have noticed, I've added a link at the top of the page to let you preview all the cards at the same time.

Scouting Locations

IMG_4493.jpg

It's hard coming up with creative places to take photos.  And although I've heard that it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission (when shooting in iffy locations), I hate getting in trouble!

So to me, the perfect location would need these criteria:

1.  Easy to get to
2.  Cool/Different/Fun
3.  Not going to alert the authorities

This place fit all those, plus the light was amazing.

I think it's a keeper!

Christmas Cards!
I've been working on getting designs ready for the holiday season.  Here's what I have so far, and be sure to keep checking back because I'll be adding more as I find/design them.

These are all 5x7" flat cards (like a postcard but with designs on both sides) and they come with envelopes, in sets of 25.  The back can be personalized by you with a personal message, or I can print a simple message for you.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Canvas is here!

I've heard that canvas prints are something that must be seen to be fully appreciated, and after receiving my first studio sample I completely agree!

IMG_4475.jpg

This is a HUGE 20 x 30" print (the largest size I've ordered so far) and it's AMAZING.  I initially wasn't sure what the quality would be.  Would the color be accurate?  Would the image be pixelated?  Would I want to offer this to a client?  And I think the only answer to these questions is to say that not only would I LOVE clients to have these in their homes, I'll definitely be ordering these for my own home.  (No, Mom, you can't have this one!)

IMG_4478.jpg

Canvas can be ordered with the image wrapped around the canvas, or with a colored edge.  I chose a colored edge on this one since I didn't have any part of the image I wanted to sacrifice to the wrap.

I can't seem to get over my excitement about this canvas!  I know it's a bit much to be this enthusiastic, but this really is a terriffic product.
